The 11th edition of Warsaw’s cult poetry festival is about inexperience – and experiencing the new! The poets invited – slam champions and the masters of spoken word poetry in their countries – will give a unique performance with the unusual and unexpected components in it. A drum machine. A floor projection. Space as a creative material.
The poets, borrowing their means of expression from other kinds of art, together with their audience – willing to experience new things & learn new perspectives on them – engage in a dynamic process one may call a migration. What migrates in it are the traditional social roles, influences and inspirations. Poetry becomes a vehicle for us to experience an unknown reality or a few different realities at the same time.
Given spoken word poetry experiments with literature, music, theater and the performance arts, inexperience is what makes it so lively and vibrant. It is the inexperience that allows us to express the most important things with no fear, and that moves us when participating in the show.
Come to perform and see the performers!
We begin with a Polish-speaking slam whose winner will be decided by the audience (500 PLN to win). Sign up to perform, at: firstname.lastname@example.org (the number of performers limited).
